HIMAT Consulting Private Limited (HCPL) is an established consulting company with extensive expertise in areas of  Research, Context Analysis, Program Development, Baseline Studies, Organization Development and Capacity Building, Impact Evaluations, providing services in these areas to both local and international clients. Since 2018 we have been serving Public, Private, Civil Society (NGOS/INGOS), and UN organizations and bilateral donors both locally and internationally. Keeping in view expansion in the portfolio of HCPL we are hiring a Program Officer-Research having research consulting background.

Job Preview:

The right candidate for this Programme Officer-Research position will build connections and facilitate exchange between HCPL and its clients. Key responsibilities include identifying business opportunities, proposal development , monitoring field data collection, data analysis, report writing, and research project management.

Job Description (ToR):

  • Demonstrate familiarity with proposal development against request for proposal and client requirements, draft inception reports and final report
  • Developing data collection tools, supervise field enumerator and collect qualitative data using FGD, Key Informant Interviews, Groupe Interviews, enumerator trainings and if needed the incumbent will also be engaged in quantitative data collection.
  • Data cleaning, analysis while using appropriate package like SPSS, Strata, NVivo and any other software
  • Participate in meeting with clients prepare meeting minutes, talking points, and position paper (need based)
  • Based on studies findings prepare presentations of key findings, briefing papers, and articles.
  • Managing field enumerators, external resource persons while ensuring quality
  • Support the overall efficient operations and project delivery of the firm

Contract Duration and Reporting:

Contract Duration: 12 Months Fixed Term (Renewable) and the PR will be reporting to Program Manager. The salary for this position is between 75,000 to 100,000 and will be determined based on the candidate experience and performance in interview.

Qualification and Experience:

  • At least 2 to 3 years’ experience in reputable consulting firm
  • Degree in Economics, Public Administration, Business administration, Development Studies, International Development, Statistics, or any related fields. (Graduates from LUMS, QAU, NUST, PIDE, IBA) will be preferred
  • Fluency in written and spoken English
  • Strong knowledge of research methodologies both quantitative and qualitative.
  • Good understanding of the practical complexities of field data collection and ensuring its quality
  • Willingness to work or travel other conflicted or post-conflict states
  • Strong people skills, considerable experience of collaborative work; positive attitude to working with clients
  • Establish, build, and maintain effective working relationships with staff and clients to facilitate the provision of monitoring support.
  • Complete and multi-task by establishing priorities while taking into considerations special assignments, changing priorities, frequent interruptions, available resources, and deadlines.
  • Ability and willingness to travel to provinces, district and  cities or areas as requested.
  • Respond positively to critical feedback and differing points of view.
