Human Appeal is implementing WFP nutrition activities under Benazir Nashonuma Programme (BNP) in district Qamber ShahdadKot to improve the nutritional status of adolescent girls in the targeted population of adolescent girls through provision of SNF and nutrition awareness activities linked with conditional cash assistance.

Position Summary:

Admin & Logistics Associate will be based in project office in Qamber ShahdadKot, the position will responsible for providing the Admin & Logistics support for the WFP nutrition project. The position will be responsible for ensuring Inventory, fleet and logistics management.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the submission of procurement files in the finance and payment follow-ups.
  • To update the procurement folders regularly and ensure that all procurement documents are collected with high attention to transparency.
  • Assist in contracts management and renewals tracking and follow-ups.
  • Ensure the safety and effective use of all HAP assets and properties in the office.
  • Account for the overall compliance with assets, properties and premises management procedures.
  • Ensure the maintenance and repairs of assets and properties promptly.
  • Assess the need for additional equipment/premises.
  • Supervise and coordinate all logistic matters relating to transport and fuel management, to ensure that vehicles are insured, asset managed correctly, being driven safely, maintained appropriately, and damages are reported.
  • Organize field movements for staff members (flight and hotel booking, rental taxi, etc.)
  • Ensure that vehicle internal equipment (tools, communications etc) is complete and serviceable; and that usage of fuel is correctly supervised, logged and recorded.
  • Ensure that Security Guards are aware of all safety and security regulations.

Qualification & Experience:

  • Graduation/MBA from any HEC recognized university.
  • At least 2 Year field level logistics and office management experience.
  • Good level of spoken and written Sindhi and local languages.
  • Excellent skills in organizing workflow, capacity to follow protocols and take own initiative.
  • Excellent ability to work as part of a team.
  • Ability to work in an environment where there are physical discomforts associated with change in weather or discomforts associated with noise, dust or dirt.

  Skills and Proficiencies:

  • Ability and willingness to autonomously travel to duty site/ health facility and villages when required.
  • Willingness and capacity to be flexible and accommodating when faced with difficult and frustrating working conditions like long distance walking to work/distribution sites
  • Excellent spoken and written local language /Urdu and English language skills
  • Good computer skills – ability to write weekly and monthly reports and data analysis.
