Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Contributes towards the overall goal and objectives of the organization
  • He/she will lead the team in the Field.
  • Attend patients and refer them to specialized health facilities (if needed).
  • To ensure the availability of required medicine and timely communicate deficiency of medicines to Health Coordinator/PBHO, KP.
  • To control ambulance for transportation of patients to other health facilities in case of emergencies.
  • Offer services to all age, gender, religious groups of people.
  • Compile and ensure timely submission of daily/monthly reports and records.
  • To conduct regular progress meetings with the staff
  • May require to perform other related duties assigned by supervisor as per organization’s set standards.
  • Conduct medical examinations, assessments, and diagnoses for patients of all ages.
  • Provide primary medical care, treatment, and management of acute and chronic illnesses.
  • Administer medications and other medical interventions as needed.
  • Offer counselling and health education to patients regarding their conditions and treatment plans.
  • Respond to medical emergencies and provide immediate medical assistance when necessary.
  • Stabilize patients in critical conditions and initiate appropriate referrals or transfers to higher-level healthcare facilities.
  • Promote preventive healthcare measures and educate patients about maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for all patients.
  • Document patient histories, diagnoses, treatments, and follow-up plans.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including nurses, pharmacists, and support staff, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Consult and refer patients to specialists when necessary.
  • Adhere to all relevant medical and ethical standards and regulatory guidelines.
  • Ensure that the health unit operates in compliance with local and national healthcare regulations.
  • Participate in quality improvement and assurance initiatives to enhance the quality of healthcare services provided by the health unit.
  • Ensure the availability and proper functioning of medical equipment and supplies in the health unit.
  • Make requisitions for necessary medical equipment and supplies as needed.
  • Stay updated with the latest medical advancements, research, and best practices through continuing medical education.
  • Provide training and mentorship to medical staff and healthcare providers when applicable.
  • Assist in the management and coordination of the health unit's daily operations. Collaborate with administrative staff to maintain efficient patient scheduling and workflow.
  • Demonstrate cultural competence and sensitivity to meet the diverse healthcare needs of the patient population.
  • Provide regular reports to health unit management on patient statistics, health trends, and any notable medical issues.
  • Implement and enforce safety and infection control protocols to maintain a safe healthcare environment for patients and staff.

Education

  • Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) and PMDC licensing.

Experience

  • Minimum 1 year of relevant experience.
  • Good clinical knowledge and skills.
  • Excellent reporting and communication skills.
  • Valid medical practice license and registration.
  • Clinical experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in primary care.

Competencies

  • Fluency in Urdu, English, and Pashto.
  • Flexibility to travel to conduct field visits for coordination purposes
  • Good command of Microsoft Office (word, excel & PowerPoint)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Compassion and empathy for patients.
  • Knowledge of local and national healthcare regulations.

KP (preference will be given to local candidates)

PKR 150,000/-
