Background
Prime Consulting is implementing a study titled “Intensive Monitoring of MMS Scale-up Transition in Pakistan”, aimed at assessing implementation processes, identifying barriers and facilitators, and generating actionable recommendations for scaling up MMS through the antenatal care (ANC) platform. The study employs a mixed-methods approach with a strong qualitative component.
Objectives of the Assignment
The objective of this assignment is to lead and ensure high-quality qualitative research processes, including tool finalization, training, data analysis, and reporting, in line with donor and project requirements.
Scope of Work / Key Responsibilities
Under the guidance of Prime Consulting, the Lead Qualitative Researcher will be responsible for the following:
3. Qualitative Data Analysis
- Lead coding and thematic analysis of IDIs and FGDs using NVivo.
- Ensure coding consistency and alignment with research objectives.
- Generate key themes and analytical insights for reporting.
4. Reporting and Documentation
- Review and strengthen the draft qualitative report for clarity, structure, and coherence.
- Support enhancement of infographics, tables, and overall presentation of findings.
- Ensure all outputs meet required quality, ethical, and donor standards.
Deliverables
- NVivo-coded datasets and thematic analysis outputs
- Reviewed and finalized qualitative report
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Advanced degree (Master’s or higher) in Public Health, Social Sciences, Nutrition, or a related field, Expert in NVivo
- At least 8–10 years of experience in qualitative health research
- Demonstrated expertise in conducting and analyzing IDIs and FGDs
- Proficiency in NVivo or similar qualitative analysis software
- Strong analytical, writing, and reporting skills
- Prior experience working on nutrition, RMNCAH, or health systems research is an asset
Payment and Contractual Modality
- Deliverable-based consultancy contract
- Payment linked to successful completion and approval of agreed deliverables
