Donors, Private Sector Partners, Corporate Sector (CSR wings), INGOs, Chambers of Commerce, Microfinance Institutions, and other stakeholders.

Position Purpose

The Foundation for Ageing and Inclusive Development (FAID) is a national organization dedicated to promoting inclusive development, enabling people of all ages especially focusing women, older people with and without disabilities to lead dignified, healthy, and secure lives. The Program Officer – Enterprise & Resource Development will play a pivotal role in strengthening FAID’s financial sustainability and programmatic impact. This position is responsible for designing and managing social enterprise initiatives that create livelihood opportunities for older people and marginalized groups. Additionally, the role involves supporting the Program team in resource mobilization through high quality proposal development, donor mapping, and establishing partnerships with the private and corporate sectors.

 

Key Responsibilities:

The key responsibilities of the Program Officer are including:

1-     Enterprise and Livelihoods Development

- Lead the conceptualization and implementation of sustainable enterprise development models and income-generating activities (IGAs) for FAID and project beneficiaries.

- Conduct market analysis to identify viable business opportunities for older people and people with disabilities, ensuring economic inclusion.

2- Resource Mobilization and Proposal Development

- Identify new funding opportunities by monitoring calls for proposals from institutional donors, trusts, and foundations.

- Lead the drafting and development of high quality project proposals and concept notes in coordination with the program team.

3-Program Development Support

- Support the Head of Program in designing new interventions that align with FAID’s strategic goals of healthy ageing and inclusive development.

-Develop business plans and sustainability strategies for existing and new programs.

4-Partnership and Stakeholder Engagement

- Build networks with the private sector and corporate entities to explore Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) funding and partnerships.

- Represent FAID in relevant working groups and forums related to livelihoods and social entrepreneurship.

5-Monitoring and Reporting

- Track the progress of enterprise development initiatives and funding pipelines.

- Prepare and submit high quality progress reports and donor updates.

 

Specific duties and responsibilities

The specific duties and responsibilities for the position holder are including:

1-Develop detailed business plans for organizational social enterprise pilots, including cost-benefit analysis and operational frameworks.

2-Draft at least 2–3 high-quality funding proposals or concept notes per quarter, targeting thematic areas of ageing, health, and livelihoods.

3-Maintain an up-to-date donor database, tracking deadlines, thematic priorities, and application guidelines for potential donors

4-Train project beneficiaries and community groups on basic financial literacy, small business management, and marketing.

5-Conduct feasibility studies and value chain assessments to ensure that livelihood interventions are market-driven and suitable for older people.

6-Develop specific pitch decks and presentations to market FAID’s work to the corporate sector for sponsorship or CSR grants.

7-Collaborate with the Finance department to develop accurate budgets for proposals, ensuring full cost recovery and compliance with donor policies.

8-Document success stories and case studies regarding successful livelihood interventions to use in fundraising materials.

9-Ensure that all enterprise and program development activities strictly adhere to gender, disability, and ageing inclusion principles.

10- Ensure all proposal submissions and enterprise activities comply with FAID’s administrative procedures and principles of transparency.

 

Safeguarding Responsibilities

ü  Promote and model a safe, respectful working environment, preventing harm and abuse from our people, operations and programs to anyone that encounters our work.

ü  Report all safeguarding incidents they see, hear, hear about or suspect, using our internal reporting mechanism.

ü  Complying with all safeguarding framework policies and practices. Completing mandatory training courses relating to our safeguarding policy framework and complying with HR vetting procedures.

ü  Reducing the risk of harm and abuse in the field.

ü  Involving communities in the design of programs and complaint response mechanisms, be responsible for implementation and review.

ü  Receiving and responding to complainants/survivors and ensuring that no further harm is done, following a survivor centered approach.

 

Required qualifications, experience and skills

ü  Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA), Development Studies, Economics, or a related field.

ü  At least 3 years of relevant experience in proposal development, fundraising, and enterprise/livelihood project management.

Required Skills

ü  Strong business planning and financial modeling skills.

ü  Excellent English writing skills for proposal and report drafting.

ü  Familiarity with the donor landscape in Pakistan (institutional and corporate).

ü  Understanding of inclusive programming (ageing/gender/disability) is preferred.

ü  Strong computer skills (MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint).
