Role Outline:

The Field Coordinator will be responsible for the effective and timely implementation of humanitarian response activities under the project in Diamer and Ghizer districts. The role involves coordinating field staff, liaising with relevant stakeholders, and ensuring that project objectives and donor requirements are achieved efficiently.

Main responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate field offices and staff to ensure smooth implementation of humanitarian project activities in Diamer and Ghizer.
  • Liaise with government authorities, local institutions, UNOCHA, and other stakeholders to facilitate project implementation and ensure compliance with donor requirements.
  • Mobilize, organize, and conduct community meetings, workshops, and seminars; supervise field assessments, surveys, and needs assessments.
  • Assist the Project Manager in planning, implementing, and monitoring project activities in the target districts.
  • Ensure optimal utilization of project resources and timely delivery of technical and financial outputs according to UNOCHA guidelines.
  • Maintain close coordination with field staff, community members, and beneficiaries to ensure effective project delivery.
  • Support in conflict resolution and address community concerns arising during project implementation.
  • Help establish linkages between affected communities, local institutions, and humanitarian actors to maximize project impact.
  • Document lessons learned, successes, and achievements to support reporting, evaluations, and knowledge sharing.

 

Required Experience & Skills Set

 

  1. Bachelor’s in business administration, Public Administration, Development Science, Social Work and Sociology
  2. At least 03 years of relevant working experience with a government or non-governmental organization
  3. Computer literate
  4. Strong inter and intrapersonal communication skills
  5. Excellent English language, writing, and communication skills
  6. Knowledge of local languages is desired
  7. Willing to spend time with the local communities and work in challenging field conditions.
  8. Based at the project locations but requires frequent traveling.
  9. Demonstrated interpersonal communication and leadership skills.
  10. Ability to plan, prioritize and produce quality results on time
