Job Summary:

As part of the communication team, and in coordination with various short-term and long-term projects, the Behaviour Change Communication (BCC) and Visibility Officer will be in charge of creating and publishing content, contributing to organization wide communication activities, brainstorming ideas and developing communication material (digital photo/video/graphics content, flyers, brochures, posters, IEC material etc) and other products.

The role is responsible for developing compelling, audience-focused content that supports positive behavioural outcomes, strengthens stakeholder engagement, and enhances CARE Pakistan's visibility at community, national, and donor levels. Working closely with programme, MEAL, and partner teams, the officer will ensure that technical programme work is translated into clear, impactful communication products while maintaining compliance with donor branding and visibility requirements and CARE standards. The position will also contribute towards press releases, monitor media coverage, and manage external and internal events.

S/he will be responsible for maintaining all program files, information/ database, in both hard and soft form as per CARE and donors' policies. Other responsibilities may include drafting, and editing publication materials and communications copy and helping to execute communications projects and strategies.

1-  Branding, Design, Content Development and Visual Communications (30% of the time):

- Produce advanced level graphic design work on design softwares for CARE's projects, including social media assets such as posts, GIFs, digital case studies, artificial intelligence integrated illustrations, and digital campaign assets.

- Develop high-quality written, visual, and digital content including briefs, reports, posters, flipcharts, infographics and multimedia products.

- Translate complex and technical programme information into clear, engaging, and accessible communication products for diverse audiences.

- Ensure full compliance with CARE, donor, and partner branding and visibility guidelines across all communication outputs.

- Produce and curate high-quality visibility content including success stories, case studies, human-interest stories, photography, videos, and social media content.

- Support external communication moments such as events, campaigns, advocacy initiatives, and key donor engagements.

- Maintain an organised and up-to-date repository of approved communication and visibility materials.

2- Digital and Behaviour Change Communication (30% of the time):

- Work with programme teams to embed BCC messaging into routine activities, campaigns, and community engagement processes.

- Develop key messages and narratives tailored to different audiences including communities, partners, donors, media, and stakeholders.

- Support digital communication efforts, including social media and online platforms, to amplify programme messages and behaviour change objectives.

- Contribute to documentation of lessons learned, best practices, and innovations related to behaviour change communication.

3- Coordination, Capacity Building, Reporting, and Media Relations (25% of the time):

- Coordinate closely with programme, MEAL, advocacy, and partner teams to ensure coherent and consistent communication across projects.

- Ensure that all the documents received from field are properly reviewed and verified. Identify gaps in documentation and ensure accuracy.

- Provide guidance and basic capacity support to partners and field teams on communication, media management, BCC messaging, and visibility standards, as well as review of press releases, and relevant news coverage monitoring.

- Coordinate or lead communication related trainings or events (internal and external).

4- Designing and Development of Publishing Content (10% of the time):

Provide assistance to all teams by designing and editing publication-based materials tailored to various audiences and contexts, such as:

- Research learning products
- Annual Reports
- Newsletters
- Project Reports
- Case studies
- Briefs
- Booklets
- Manuals
- Tool kits
- IEC posters
- Brochures

5- Other responsibilities as assigned: (05% of time)

  • Any other tasks or responsibilities based on organizational and programming needs as assigned by the Line Manager.

 A) Qualifications (Know How)

- Bachelor's Degree in Communication, Journalism, Media, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field is required for advanced positions.

B) Experience/ Technical Skills 

- Minimum 3–4 years of experience in a communications role.

- Experience in publishing content on digital platforms related to women's financial inclusion, humanitarian response, and other themes, as well as overseeing communication activities, brainstorming ideas, and developing publications and digital creative assets.

- Experience in designing IEC materials and content focused on financial health, resilience, and entrepreneurial sustainability using software like Canva, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Premiere Pro (or any similar software).
