Job Summary

The Hospitality Management Trainer will train trainees in fundamental and advanced hospitality skills. The role focuses on practical learning, grooming, professional behavior, communication, and service standards needed for careers in hotels, restaurants, or the broader hospitality industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct classroom and practical training sessions for trainees on hospitality basics and department-specific skills.
  • Teach modules such as: Introduction to Hospitality Industry, Guest Service & Guest Handling, Front Office Operations, Housekeeping Basics, Food & Beverage Service Skills, Grooming & Professional Etiquette & Communication & Soft Skills
  • Demonstrate real-life scenarios, role-plays, and hands-on practical exercises.
  • Prepare lesson plans, training manuals, presentations, and practical activity guidelines.
  • Customize training materials based on trainee skill levels and industry requirements.
  • Ensure content is simple, easy to understand, and industry aligned.
  • Conduct pre-tests, skill evaluations, and practical assessments.
  • Maintain trainee attendance, performance records, and progress reports.
  • Identify weak trainees and provide additional support, mentoring, and remedial training.
  • Train trainees in interview preparation, grooming, and workplace behavior.
  • Guide trainees on career pathways in hotels, resorts and restaurants.
  • Support placement coordination and prepare trainees for on-the-job training (OJT) or internships.
  • Maintain a positive, engaging, and disciplined learning environment.
  • Ensure training labs (front office desk, housekeeping setup, F&B service area) are clean and ready.
  • Promote teamwork, confidence building, and professional conduct among trainees.
  • Record and maintain daily attendance of trainees.
  • Prepare and share monthly reports.
  • Any other task assigned by management.

 Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management or related field (Diploma accepted with strong experience).
  • 2–5 years of experience in hotel operations or hospitality training.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to train beginners with patience and clarity.
  • Practical knowledge of FO, HK, and F&B operations.
  • Proficient in MS Office and basic training tools.
