Zakat Foundation of America (ZFA) is a U.S.-based humanitarian organization dedicated to poverty alleviation, disaster relief, and community development in over 40 countries. In Pakistan, ZFA supports vulnerable communities through food, health, education, and orphan programs. As Ramadan approaches, Zakat Foundation of America (ZFA) is launching a food pack distribution program to support vulnerable families in Pakistan. Through its Ramadan Food Packs program, ZFA helps poor families with essential food items, ensuring they can observe Ramadan with dignity. .

The Project:

The Ramadan Food Pack Distribution Project 2026 aims to support - Marginalized families during the holy month of Ramadan. The food pack distribution brings significant relief, alleviating food insecurity and financial strain. During the holy month, families can observe Ramadan with dignity, focusing on spiritual growth. The support fosters community solidarity and gratitude, empowering families to navigate challenging times with hope and resilience.

Outputs:

Output 1: Ramadan food packs distributed to xxx families

• Distribution of Ramadan food packs completed to xxx families in proposed locations.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Organization registered with Government of Pakistan as Not for profit and non-Government organization.
• The organization has an active board of directors/governors (in the case of local organizations).
• The organization has a history of activities/projects and community linkages in the district applying for.
• The organization has previous proven experience of implementation of Distribution projects with institutional donors.
• The organization has at least three years of externally audited accounts. 
• Any employee, director or a person having an association with organization or organization itself is not involved in any anti-state activity at any level;
• The organization will acquire NOC for project implementation in the targeted area from concerned government authorities regarding proposed project implementation.

Organizations that cannot apply:

• Individuals/unregistered groups/consultants/vendors.
• Businesses/for-profit organizations. 
• Organizations involved in any anti-state activity. 
• Organizations having a political or religious affiliation. 

Proposal Requirements

Interested organizations are invited to submit a full proposal that includes:

1. Organizational profile and relevant past project experience (if not previously submitted).
2. Technical approach and implementation plan, including proposed districts for intervention.
3. Monitoring and evaluation framework.
4. Budget breakdown and justification.
5. Timeline of key activities.
6. Legal registration documents and organizational policies (e.g., safeguarding, procurement, anti-corruption)
