Job Summary

We are hiring a Data Engineer to support data systems, reporting, and information management across our projects. The role involves developing data pipelines, managing databases, and ensuring reliable, high-quality data for program needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain data pipelines and ETL processes.
  
  

• Manage and optimize SQL/NoSQL databases.
  
  

• Integrate data from field tools (ODK/KoBo/DHIS2).
  
  

• Automate data cleaning and validation workflows.
  
  

• Support dashboards and reporting (Power BI, Tableau).
  
  

• Ensure data quality, security, and backup.
  
  

• Provide technical support and basic staff training on data tools.
  
  

Requirements

• Bachelor’s/Master’s in Computer Science, Data Engineering, IT, or related field.
  
  

• 5+ years’ experience in data engineering or similar role.
  
  

• Strong SQL and database management skills.
  
  

• Experience with ETL, data modeling, and reporting tools.
  
  

• NGO/development-sector experience preferred.
  
  

• Knowledge of Python or similar scripting languages.
