A national non-profit organization requires dynamic professionals to fill the position of district logistics officer on contract basis in a donor-funded program.
Job Description:
- Ensure adherence to the organization’s logistical SOPs and donor regulations at the district level.
- Maintain proper storage of stock in the warehouse according to the standards and available resources.
- Record and file stock and supplies using standard tools.
- Follow FEFO/FIFO procedures for stock management.
- Monitor and report stock issues such as stock outs, short expiry, and expired items.
- Verify monthly reports and reconcile stock balances at health facilities.
- Conduct regular follow-ups with health facility focal persons.
- Monitor and rotate short expiry items.
- Prevent expiries, collect and record expired items.
- Facilitate timely provision of supplies to health facilities.
- Record daily temperature and humidity of the warehouse.
- Prepare various reports, including stock movement, temperature/humidity reports, and consumption reports.
- Conduct M&E visits to facilities and ensure adherence to SOPs.
- Maintain inventory record and ensure safe use of inventory.
- Ensure availability and maintenance of fire extinguishers.
- Update the Fixed Asset Register.
- Prepare monthly expense estimates and request advance.
- Close monthly operations with the finance department.
- Maintain records of office refreshments, stationery etc.
- Maintain log book and handle fueling and maintenance bills.
- Monitor fleet fuel consumption and submit monthly reports.
- Participate in coordination meetings and provide logistical data.
- Supervise the safety, security, cleanliness, and maintenance of the office/warehouse.
- Arrange logistics for trainings and meetings.
- Prepare duty rosters for security guards and monitor their duties.
- Represent the organization in the absence of the District Coordinator.
- Build and maintain excellent rapport with stakeholders and facility focal persons.
- Perform other tasks assigned by the District Coordinator.
Education and Knowledge:
Graduate from an HEC verified university, BS logistics and supply chain management
Work Experience:
Minimum two years’ work experience in the relevant field.
Local candidates with relevant work experience in logistics and supply chain management, as well as experience in humanitarian organizations, and strong computer skills, will be given preference.
