Job Summary

A national non-profit organization is seeking a qualified and dedicated Women Medical Officer (WMO) to provide quality maternal and newborn health services at its Basic Emergency Obstetric and Newborn Care (EmONC) facility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive maternal, neonatal, and reproductive healthcare in accordance with Basic EmONC standards.
  • Manage obstetric and gynecological emergencies efficiently.
  • Conduct antenatal, postnatal, and family planning services.
  • Supervise nursing, midwifery, and support staff in maternity care units.
  • Ensure proper documentation, case management, and compliance with clinical protocols.
  • Participate in on-call duties and maintain coordination with the health facility management team.

Requirements

  • Qualification: MBBS (recognized by PMDC) — mandatory
  • Postgraduate Qualification: MCPS or FCPS in Gynecology & Obstetrics — preferred
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of relevant clinical experience, preferably in EmONC or maternal health settings
  • License: Valid registration with PMDC
  • Skills: Strong clinical judgment, teamwork, patient-centered approach, and ability to handle emergencies
