Background: Aga Khan Health Service, Pakistan (AKHS, P) runs one of the largest not-for-profit private healthcare systems in the country, with a focus on the regions of Gilgit-Baltistan, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab, and Sindh. Its core focus includes initiatives for hard-to-reach populations through services like outreach clinics, training of community midwives to provide low-cost health services in remote areas, screening for non-communicable diseases, and digital health solutions.

Position Summary:

Aga Khan Health Service, Pakistan is looking for a competent Field Supervisor for the Flood Recovery and Climate Resilience (RENEW) project implement in Baltistan Region. The Field Supervisor will coordinate and oversee day-to-day field operations under the flood response project. The job involves close interaction with affected health facility staff and communities, coordination with local stakeholders, and effective implementation of project interventions at the grass roots level.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Field Activity Oversight, Team Supervision and support

  • Supervise and coordinate health activities such as mobile clinics, outreach campaigns, awareness sessions, and referrals.
  • Ensure adherence to technical protocols and guidelines.
  • Monitor service delivery, attendance, and activity outputs in assigned areas.
  • Liaison with field staff including LHVs, CMWs, and outreach clinical teams.
  • Conduct regular team meetings, and on-site support in field activities.
  • Support capacity building and on-the-job training for field teams.
  • Conduct regular monitoring visits to provide technical assistance, supportive supervision, and ensure accurate data collection. Collect sex- and age-disaggregated data (SADD) for all field activities and maintain a comprehensive and up-to-date database of project interventions and outcomes.

2. Community Engagement, Coordination & Reporting

  • Build strong relationships with community leaders, local health facilities, and other stakeholders.
  • Facilitate community mobilization and awareness campaigns.
  • Address community concerns and feedback related to health services.
  • Collect and verify field data (attendance sheets, patient records, reports).
  • Submit timely and accurate field reports to the Project Manager.
  • Alert management to any issues, risks, or changes in the field context.

3. Logistics & Supplies

  • Ensure proper use and management of field supplies (medicines, nutrition supplements IEC materials, registers).
  • Coordinate with logistics teams to ensure timely delivery and replenishment of supplies

 

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in public health, Nursing, Social Sciences, or related field.
  • Minimum 2–4 years of experience in field supervision, preferably in humanitarian or development settings.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Familiarity with community-based health programs.
  • Ability to travel frequently to remote or insecure areas.
  • Knowledge of local language(s) and culture is a strong asset.
  • Computer literate (capable of at least using MS Office) and basic data analysis skills.
