Job Description Physiotherapist:

Key Responsibilities:

Assessment and Identification

    • Conduct assessments of persons with disabilities and injured victims in targeted areas.
    • Identify needs for physiotherapy services, rehabilitation, and assistive devices.

Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Services

    • Provide direct physiotherapy support and rehabilitation care to injured and mobility-impaired individuals.
    • Develop individualized rehabilitation plans, focusing on restoring mobility and preventing further complications.
    • Offer immediate physiotherapy support to injured victims in emergency camps and health posts.

Assistive Device Management

    • Ensure timely provision and proper fitting/ setting of assistive devices (Hearing devices, crutches, walkers, etc.).
    • Train individuals and families on safe and effective use of assistive devices.
    • Monitor utilization and provide follow-up support to ensure continued benefit.

Capacity Building and Community Training

    • Train caregivers, family members, and volunteers on safe body positioning, daily exercises, and mobility support techniques.
    • Educate affected communities on prevention of long-term physical complications.

Psychosocial and Emotional Support

    • Provide basic psychosocial support to flood victims coping with trauma and disabilities.
    • Refer complex cases to specialized mental health services where needed.

Monitoring and Reporting

    • Document services provided and maintain patient records.
    • Prepare regular progress reports and share key findings with project management.

 

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor’s in Physiotheraphy from an accredited institution.
  2. Valid license or registration with regulatory body.
  3. 2 to 3 years of clinical experience as a practicing physiotherapist
  4. Sound knowledge of physiotherapy techniques and rehabilitation principles
  5. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  6. Compassionate, patient centered approach with strong
  7. Ability to work both independently and within a disciplinary team.
