About the RSH Programme   

The Safeguarding Resource and Support Hub (RSH) is a programme that aims to support organisations in the humanitarian and development sector to strengthen their safeguarding policy and practice against Sexual Exploitation, Abuse and Sexual Harassment (SEAH). RSH supports organisations working in both the humanitarian and development sectors and is driven by the needs of smaller national or local organisations in developing countries. The programme is funded by the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) until 2030.

  

About the Role

Based in Pakistan, the Pakistan Safeguarding Adviser - RSH Programme will lead the development and delivery of capability-building initiatives to support civil society organisations (CSOs) across the country for the RSH Programme.

The role involves contextualising and delivering these activities, working closely with the National Lead and Monitoring Evaluation and Learning (MEL) colleagues to ensure the RSH programme meets the needs of CSOs. The post holder will be expected to travel frequently (up to 50%) to engage with stakeholders and RSH users.   

This is a full-time, 18-month fixed-term contract. As an organisation, we support flexible working arrangements, which can be discussed at the interview stage.

Main Responsibilities 

 

Technical Leadership & Capability Building

  • Lead the design and delivery of capability-building activities, including trainings, mentorships, workshops, and peer-learning events.
  • Identify, engage, and oversee the work of technical consultants for the RSH programme.
  • Promote the uptake of Hub activities and the mentorship Community of Practice.

 

Online Hub & Resource Management

  • Promote e-learning and engagement with the RSH digital platform.
  • Identify and quality assure new safeguarding consultants and resources for the Hub.
  • Moderate online discussions and oversee the quality control of translated resources.

 

Governance and Stakeholder Engagement

  • Recruit and manage a National Expert Board (NEB) to provide contextualised advice and networks.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key national stakeholders, including donors, CSOs, and other networks.
  • Actively contribute to cross-regional learning and manage the collection of resources for the virtual platform.

 

Skills and Experience 

  • 7+ years of experience in the safeguarding technical space, with experience working with civil society organisations.
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding networks, actors, and systems across Pakistan.
  • Demonstrated facilitation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders effectively.
  • Ability to translate complex safeguarding concepts into practical tools, guidance, and training resources.
  • A commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion.
  • Experience working on a FCDO or other bilateral donor programme is highly desirable.
