Main Purpose : Security guard is responsible for the safety & security of the staff working in warehouse, assets, and inventory by practicing safety & security guidelines.

Responsibilities:

• Man, the main gate of warehouse to deter any unauthorized entry.
• Maintain a record of all staff and visitors attending warehouse during his duty hours.
• Open main gate of warehouse for entry/exit of project transport, vendor’s vehicle or any other vehicles.
• On arrival of supplies to the warehouse, note down vehicle number, type, time/day/date, number of boxes received and name and CNIC of person delivering the goods.
• File waybill properly as per the standard procedure.  
• On arrival/departure of staff, guards must check if there is any suspicious person, vehicle following or any material lying in street.
• Enter details of visitor (s) including CNIC number and name of staff whom he/she wants to meet in visitors’ register, issue a visitor card, and enter accurate in/out time.
• Ensure visitors meet only the person concerned, whom he/she has come to see.
• Request external visitors to park their vehicles properly outside the premises to avoid blocking the main road.
• Check fire extinguishers and other fire-fighting equipment on regular basis, and in case of any emergency immediately report to the Security Manager.
• Know fire-fighting procedures and in case of an emergency could use fire extinguishers.
• Operate, manage and properly maintain a Generator.
• Ensure area near by generator is clean and there is no garbage in surroundings that can fuel fire.
• Conduct regular patrols of the office to ensure everything is safe and secure.
• DO NOT leave the office vacant till relieved by the next security guard.
• Properly brief reliever and in case of any special event/incident & provide necessary details.

• Ensure safety and security of any equipment handed over to him and return it in good working conditions at time of return.
• Contact Security Manager, Pharmacy Assistant, Pharmacy Supervisor immediately on any emergency or occurrence of an incident.
• Take care of all assets/inventory of the organization.
• Participate in capacity development training organized by the security manager or any partner organization on “Safety & Security”.
• Respect organizational policies/rules and follow them in true letter and spirit.
• Follow proper chain of command and communication lines within the organization

Core Qualifications/Requirements:

1. Education should be matriculation.
2. Physically and mentally healthy and fit for the position of security guard.
3. Experienced of working as a security guard for at least three (03) years.
4. Aware of local culture and customs.
5. Ability to work under difficult circumstances.
6. Honest, committed, and flexible in attitude.
7. A good team player
