Associates in Development (AiD)  is an international consulting organization with its Head Office in Islamabad, Pakistan and affiliated offices in the UK and the US. Established in 1992, the firm provides development and management consulting services in the areas of 1) Engineering and Infrastructure, 2) Social Sectors and 3) Environment. Widely respected for high quality multi-disciplinary work, our clients include large multi-lateral and bi-lateral donor organizations, major public sector agencies, and a varied range of globally active consulting and contracting firms. Geographically, the company work spans all four provinces of Pakistan, Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) and Gilgit Baltistan (GB).

We are Seeking a qualified candidate for the following position at our Head Office.

Qualification Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Business Administration, Social Sciences, Communication or a related field.

  • 0–3 years of relevant experience in business development.

  • Internship or prior experience in client relations, partnerships, or market research is an added advantage.

  • Exposure to AI tools is a plus.

  • Strong skills in Word processing, Spreadsheets, and PowerPoint applications are critical.

The Business Development Associate will be responsible for tasks including but not limited to:

  1. Screening and analysing new business opportunities with the aim of recommending them to the management for deciding on pursuing it or not, keeping in view the organizational capacity and interests.

  2. Develop and maintain a database of opportunities screened and actions taken.

  3. Assist with the preparation of Expression of interest (EOI) as well as technical & financial proposals for a varied range of multi-sectoral projects. 

  4. Assist in identifying and assembling proposed project teams drawn from inside and outside the organization.

  5. Maintain the database and records of all EOI and full proposal submissions.

  6. Assist the senior team in appraising new opportunities and developing a business development strategy.

  7. Assist in developing/ upgrading effective marketing material for the company. This includes brochures, introductory flyers, website, and social media.

  8. Assist in the development and upgradation of the database of (potential) partner organizations.

  9. Assist in developing/ upgrading a database of key professionals and consultants who are regularly required on various projects. This database gets constantly updated so that it serves as a reliable source for getting a good and relevant resource for any project in quick time. 

  10. Finalize write ups, editing, formatting etc. of other AiD reports and documents as required. 

  11. Draft and share minutes of meetings and follow-up with all concerned participants. 

  12. Support the development of weekly sectoral business development and project progress reports for circulation to all team members.

  13. Any related tasks assigned by Management.

Project Support

  1. The specific project tasks will be assigned by the senior sector team depending on the project portfolio

  2. Assist with backstopping and quality assurance of ongoing projects

  3. Any other relevant task assigned by the senior  team
