Position Objective: The driver is responsible for providing driving and chauffeur duties to the team and to coordinate other drivers in the movement of personnel and in the use and maintenance of the ACF office vehicles, ensure routine maintinace schedules, produce/reconcile relevant reports

Relevant Experience: Minimum Qualification 8th class Valid LTV license with minimum 7-10 years experience as a driver with a safe driving record and AV Certification.

Knowledge of mechanical/electrical systems of vehicles will be an advantage.

Job Description: 

Mission 1: Provides a safe and professional driving of the Mission

Ensure provision of safe and professional driving to the mission passengers, or other assigned visitors, delegations whenever is required including weekends and holidays

The Driver is responsible for:

• Transport safely ACF employees or freight according to the planning or according to the directives of the base logisticians
• Be in possession of all necessary individual documentation (driving licence, passport, order of mission) and vehicle documentation
• Ensure in country driving rule & regulations are adhered at all levels
• Ensure mission Standard Operations Procedures are followed at all levels
• Incident reporting procedures are adhered and facilitate processing any insurance claims in coordination with logistics and driver
• Meets official and high ranking personnel at the airport and facilitates immigration and customs formalities, as required 

Mission 2: Maintenance and check list for field trips 

• Ensure maintenance schedules are properly adhered by driver and sharing of timely reports with logistics
• The driver has to repair minor technical problems and has to report to the logistics department whenever there are serious breakdowns.
• Keep the vehicle assigned to him clean and road-worthy
• Perform the daily and weekly check-lists as mentioned in the log book.
• Correctly fill in and update the log book, for refuelling and maintenance.
• Decides whether or not to attempt to cross a difficult terrain, to continue after a technical defect has been detected or to delay the travel.
• Check Insurance and vehicle token tax in his vehicle and notify the Capital log Assistant in time for renewal of the documents if due to expire.
• Ensures presence of (in vehicle assigned to him) : the Action Against Hunger log book, empty waiver forms and tools as mentioned and signed by him in the log book. A complete first aid kit and one or more spare wheels in good condition/s.
• Ensure completion pre-departure checklists are completed and signed by all drivers and part of monthly reports with 100% accuracy & in accordance with mission set polices & procedures
• Ensure all vehicles are properly equipped kits, defined in ACF kit log for vehicle fleet management and part of monthly reports
• Correctly filling in and signing of the waiver form by all non ACF passengers.
• The safe parking any time, of the vehicle at night, during breaks etc. Ensure keys are kept safe and no mis-use of vehicles after working hours allowed
• Ensure log books are properly maintained, fuelling records are maintained and reconciled with trips, consumption, claims by service providers

 Mission 3: Periodic Reporting: 

• Ensure the preparation of daily/weekly & monthly, reports as required by ACF, and its submission to relevant departments
• Preparation of vehicle running reports
• Preparation vehicle maintenance reports

 Mission 4: Miscellaneous Duties:

• ACF Pakistan is a humanitarian non-governmental organization. Due to the unique nature of relief activities, the exact duties of the employee and the working schedule may be subject to temporary variations. All employees are requested to demonstrate flexibility.
• Support logistics department for movement/storage of low volume goods
• Support different departments for producing photocopies, preparing sets, filing, storage, asset/inventory reconciliations
• Any other duties assigned by logistics

Mission 5: Compliance with ACFs gender equality, child protection sensitivity and Safeguarding policies

The Driver is responsible for:

• Read and ensure a full understanding of ACFs Gender, Child Protection and other safeguarding policies. 
• Implement all work related activities with a gender, inclusion and child protection lens
• Help build an inclusive office environment where people do not feel disadvantaged or judged according to their gender or limited due to manageable disability.
