Job Description:

The Provincial Coordinator will lead the implementation of the UNFPA-funded GBV and Early Marriage project at the provincial level, working closely with government, civil society, and community partners. Reporting to the National Project Manager, they will provide strategic guidance, technical support, and coordination to enhance multi-sectoral responses.

Main Responsibilities:

Project Management and Implementation:

  • Lead the implementation of project activities at the provincial level in alignment with UNFPA guidelines and project objectives.
  • Monitor and evaluate project activities to assess impact and effectiveness.
  • Identify challenges and recommend solutions for effective project execution.

Stakeholder Coordination and Partnership Building:

  • Ensure coordination with government stakeholders, CSOs, and other partners to strengthen GBV and early marriage response mechanisms.
  • Facilitate multi-sectoral coordination meetings and advocacy efforts.
  • Develop and maintain partnerships with key stakeholders to promote the project's sustainability and impact.
  • Represent the project in provincial-level meetings, forums, and coordination mechanisms.

Technical Support for Working Group Meetings:

  • Provide technical support and capacity building to local teams and stakeholders.
  • Facilitate meetings, ensuring stakeholder engagement.
  • Prepare briefing notes, agendas, presentations, and technical documents.
  • Share insights based on best practices, research, and data analysis.
  • Support project monitoring, evaluation, and problem-solving.
  • Ensure discussions remain outcome-driven and solution-focused.

Technical Support to Multi-Sectoral Coordination Mechanisms (MSCM)

  • Provide strategic and technical support for establishing and operationalizing Multi Sectoral Coordination Mechanism at the sub-national level.
  • Assist MSCMs in defining roles, responsibilities, and coordination frameworks.
  • Support the development and institutionalization of SOPs to strengthen inter-sectoral collaboration.
  • Create frameworks and tools for policy advocacy and evidence-based decision-making on GBV and child marriage.
  • Strengthen linkages between MSCMs, government agencies, UN bodies, and civil society for sustainability and institutionalization.

Reporting and Documentation:

  • Compile and submit weekly updates, monthly progress reports to the National Project Manager at the Head Office
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of project activities, progress reports, work plans, and budgets in compliance with UNFPA guidelines. (KP Balochistan)
