Position Title: Intern – Partner Finance Management (PFM)
Location: Islamabad, Pakistan
Duration: 3–6 months (with possibility of extension)
Reports to: Sr. Partner Finance Officer
Organization: CBM – Pakistan Country Office
Stipend: As per CBM internship policy

Purpose of the Role:

The PFM Intern will support the Partner Finance Management function at CBM Pakistan Country Office. The role is ideal for a motivated and detail-oriented individual looking to gain hands-on experience in financial management, compliance monitoring, and partner coordination in the context of international development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the review of partner financial reports and documentation.
  • Assist in data entry, reconciliation, and verification of financial records.
  • Help track fund disbursements and follow up on outstanding financial submissions from partners.
  • Assist in preparing audit schedules and documentation.
  • Support the update and maintenance of partner finance databases and filing systems.
  • Participate in capacity-building sessions and internal trainings related to PFM.
  • Support the team in conducting financial compliance checks.
  • Draft summaries and support documentation for partner follow-ups and internal reports.
  • Assist with any other administrative or finance-related tasks assigned by the supervisor.
  • Regular field travel required.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree (completed or in final year) in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Strong interest in finance and development sector work.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel.
  • Good analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented, with a high level of accuracy in data handling.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
