AKHS, P is looking for a seasoned and dynamic Clinical Psychologist for its Karachi Region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Incumbent will assess the clients visiting for mental health issues and referred from other sites
  • Identify and diagnose psychological, emotional, and behavioral issues or disorders
  • Develop and implement treatment plans and therapeutic interventions, such as therapy, counselling, or advice
  • Provide therapy and treatments for a range of mental health conditions
  • Provide consultation to other healthcare professionals and members of multidisciplinary teams
  • Counsel and support clients and their families
  • Administering and interpreting psychological tests
  • Writing reports on patient progress, competency, and dangerousness
  • Participating in treatment team, staff, and professional meetings
  • Supervising trainees and unlicensed staff
  • Working collaboratively with other disciplines
  • Conducting case management tasks
  • Participating in off-hours call rotation
  • Responsible to support SM&F officer for maintaining and reporting accurate data on the carbon management tool every quarter. Furthermore, you will support the submission of any data required from time to time regarding the climate change agenda.
  • Identify and understand the most carbon intense areas in the region with the support of the head office. Specifically, will pay special attention to the Refrigerants, Waste, Energy usage (grid and generators), Waste Management, Purchase, and Transport and will help in bringing down the emissions from these key areas.
  • Responsible for maintaining the regional equipment database in accordance with the format and requirements provided by the climate change team.
  • Support the implementation plans for the identified action items to implement the actions in their respective regions.
  • Support and sensitize colleagues working under you about the urgency and importance of the climate change agenda.

Education, Experience & Competencies

  • Bachelor’s degree in clinical psychology or a relevant field, master’s or higher degree in a related discipline will be an added advantage.
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience is preferred, although candidates who have completed a post-academic internship are also welcome to apply.
  • A team player and confident in dealing with people at all levels with different backgrounds
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal and communications skills
