Job Summary:

The Audiologist is responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and managing hearing disorders and balance problems in school students. They utilize a variety of tests and technologies to determine the extent of hearing loss, provide rehabilitation services, and recommend hearing aids or other assistive devices. The Audiologist also plays a key role in educating parents and school management about hearing health and preventive care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct audiological evaluations, including pure tone audiometry, speech audiometry, tympanometry testing.
• Diagnose hearing loss and balance disorders through clinical assessment and testing.
• Fit, dispense, and manage hearing aids, cochlear implants, and other hearing assistive technologies.
• Provide auditory rehabilitation services and counseling to patients and their families.
• Collaborate with physicians, speech-language pathologists, and other healthcare professionals for integrated patient care.
• Educate students & parents on hearing protection and strategies to manage hearing loss.
• Stay updated with advances in audiology and maintain continuing education requirements.
• Assist in workplace hearing conservation programs, or community outreach efforts, if applicable.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor or Diploma holder
• Experience: "Minimum of 1-2 years clinical experience preferred."
• Skills:
• Excellent diagnostic and communication skills
• Empathy and patience in dealing with patients
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage documentation
• Technical proficiency with audiology equipment and hearing aid software

Salary: 45,000/- to 55,000/-
