CHILD SAFEGUARDING: Level 3: the post holder will have contact with children and/or young people either frequently (e.g. once a week or more) or intensively (e.g. four days in one month or more or overnight) because they work country programs; or are visiting country programs; or because they are responsible for implementing the police checking/vetting process staff. |
ROLE PURPOSE: As part of this project, the Communications and Media Officer will lead on developing high quality content, such as case studies, photos and videos, to demonstrate how the COPK program has impacted the lives of children and their families and for sharing with the project donor and on Save the Children’s social media channels. The Communications and Media Officer will develop and design key communication and media related materials, including social, print and digital media, design of IEC and training materials. The Communications and Media Officer will assist the program teams with meeting donor reporting requirements, developing press releases, case studies, internal and external updates on the projects, and reviewing branding materials from partner staff, CO office staff, and through collecting the content by travelling to project and program area/s. The Communications and Media Officer will also be required to support the ACCM team with other advocacy, campaigns, communications, media (including Social Media) related work assignments related to COPK program. |

QUALIFICATIONS Bachelors Degree in Communications, media, Journalism, Social Sciences or a relevant area of study. |
