Salary range: PKR 103,000 – 132,000  per month

Purpose 

The Security and Safety Officer under supervision of line manager performs several safety and security related assignments including management of the guards, passive measures at all ICRC premises, monitoring local movements, emergency contact point. He/she also support the line Manager/ delegation/site on security risk assessment and associated mitigating measures while ensuring proper diffusion and access to information related to security in line with Duty of Care obligations.

Main Responsibilities:

1. Performing the tasks of radio operator to manage local movements and to guide travelers about safe route. Develops and implement proper procedures for local movement management including VGS monitoring, data entry in field mobile log, etc.
2. Management of Security Guards/Supervisor and supports other staff holding basic security tasks (radio room).
3. Focal point for emergency response, taking necessary measures in line with defined procedures in case of any security and safety incident.
4. Coordinates with Premises unit to ensure the effective implementation of all passive measures (fire, EQ, 3M, evacuation, emergency response, etc) and ensure proper functioning of CCTV and panic alarm systems in all premises.
5. Supports line manager in analysis of the overall security situation and advise on the potential risks to the staff, operations, and reputation. Reports and documents security-related events within his/her work remit using the appropriate Organization tools.
6. Monitors the effective implementation of security procedures and processes and report to line manager in case of any breach. Provides basic security briefing and support line manager in staff training sessions as required. Helps raise staff awareness (on context specific) security and safety awareness sessions (across the AoR).
7. Supports Line Manager /management in assessing the safety of locations used by the delegation (office, residences, hotels, trainings sites, etc.).

Main Requirements:

1)      University degree, with relevant safety and Security management background.

2)      Minimum 03 years of experience in a similar field of activity, preferably with humanitarian organizations.

3)      Experience in crisis management as an asset

4)      Working with private security companies (contract, invoicing, reporting, monitoring), a plus

5)      Good knowledge of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and merged area

6)      Good computer skills (word, excel and PowerPoint)

7)      Possess a valid driver license.

8)      Good command of English and Urdu (written and oral). Excellent command of Pashtu language (listening & speaking), a plus.
