Purpose
The Staff Health Assistant supports the Staff Health Unit in administrative tasks and designated staff health activities aligned with the Staff Health (SH) strategy. Under the close supervision of the Staff Health Officer, the role involves preparing and updating documents related to Staff Health services, ensuring compliance with ICRC policies, delegation guidelines, and applicable laws and regulations.
Main Responsibilities:
- Maintains monthly medical monitoring and progression records of newly hired staff.
- Collects, compiles, and analyzes data on illnesses, accidents, and absenteeism.
- Establishes and maintains relationships with hospitals, clinics, and laboratories.
- Adheres to Finance and Administration (F&A) guidelines and institutional policies regarding medical reimbursements.
- Reviews, verifies, and processes medical reimbursement claims, ensuring accurate documentation and compliance.
- Scans, uploads, and securely files medical bills and supporting documents in the software.
- Serves as the primary contact for ICRC employees regarding medical concerns and workplace accidents.
- Upholds strict confidentiality concerning all medical information.
- Assists Staff health unit in implementing Staff health strategy at Sub Delegation level in Peshawar.
- Performs additional staff health-related tasks as required.
Main Requirements:
- University degree in medicine or Nursing
- Minimum 03 years of clinical experience
- Knowledge of tropical health and public health
- Good computer skills (word, excel and PowerPoint)
- Good command of English & Urdu (written and oral). Excellent command of Pashtu language (listening & speaking), a plus.
