Key Responsibilities

a. Website Development & Maintenance

• Design, develop, and maintain responsive and user-friendly websites.
• Ensure websites are optimized for speed, SEO, and cross-browser compatibility.
• Implement security best practices to protect against cyber threats.
• Regularly update and maintain content, plugins, and frameworks.

b. Web Application Development

• Develop interactive web applications as per project needs.
• Integrate third-party services, APIs, and databases.
• Work with front-end and back-end technologies to enhance functionality.

c. User Experience & UI Design

• Ensure websites are visually appealing and easy to navigate.
• Optimize user experience (UX) and accessibility across different devices.
• Implement responsive design principles.

d. Troubleshooting & Technical Support

• Identify and resolve website bugs, downtime, and performance issues.
• Provide technical support to staff regarding website usage and management.
• Ensure regular website backups and disaster recovery measures.

e. Content Management & SEO

• Work with the communications team to update website content.
• Implement SEO strategies to improve search rankings.
• Manage website analytics and generate reports on user engagement.

3. Required Qualifications & Experience

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in web development. NGO or social sector experience is a plus.
• Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like React or Angular.
• Strong backend experience with PHP, Python, Node.js, or similar.
• Experience with CMS platforms (WordPress, Drupal, etc.).
• Database management (MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB).
• Familiarity with cloud hosting (AWS, Azure, etc.).
• Knowledge of web security best practices.

4. Deliverables

• Fully functional and secure websites/web applications.
• Regular website updates, improvements, and bug fixes.
