Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lifting Operations Management:
    • Oversee all lifting operations, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
    • Manage the inspection, maintenance, and safe use of lifting equipment to ensure minimal downtime and operational efficiency.
    • Provide technical guidance on lifting operations, ensuring safe and efficient execution of lifting activities.
  2. Team Leadership & Training:
    • Lead and supervise a team of engineers, technicians, and safety officers involved in lifting operations.
    • Train internal staff, including engineers and technicians, on best practices, safety protocols, and lifting operation techniques.
    • Develop and deliver training programs tailored to different skill levels, ensuring that team members are well-trained in lifting operations and safety measures.
    • Regularly assess team capabilities and organize additional training to bridge any skill gaps.
  3. Risk Management & Safety Compliance:
    • Implement and enforce strict safety protocols for lifting operations, ensuring compliance with national and international regulations.
    • Conduct thorough risk assessments and safety audits of lifting equipment and operations.
    • Investigate any incidents or accidents related to lifting operations and develop corrective measures to prevent recurrence.
  4. Client Liaison & Stakeholder Management:
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing expert advice on lifting operations and equipment.
    • Work closely with clients to understand their specific lifting needs and ensure the successful execution of projects.
    • Offer training services to clients, helping them understand lifting operations, equipment management, and safety compliance.
  5. Documentation & Reporting:
    • Maintain comprehensive records of lifting equipment inspections, certifications, training activities, and compliance audits.
    • Ensure all lifting operations are properly documented and meet industry standards for safety and performance.
    • Provide regular reports to senior management on lifting operations, team performance, safety audits, and training progress.
  6. Operational Efficiency & Continuous Improvement:
    • Continuously review and improve lifting processes to enhance operational efficiency and safety.
    • Integrate new lifting technologies and techniques to improve the overall quality of operations.
    • Lead efforts to implement best practices and innovative solutions in lifting operations.
  7. Budget and Resource Management:
    • Develop and manage the budget for lifting operations, ensuring that resources are allocated efficiently.
    • Oversee the procurement, maintenance, and lifecycle management of lifting equipment.
    • Monitor and control costs to ensure the budget is adhered to while maximizing equipment uptime.

 

Key Qualifications and Experience:

  • Educational Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
  • Professional certification in lifting operations (e.g., LEEA Certification) is mandatory.
  • Additional safety-related certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA) are highly desirable.
  • Ability to develop and deliver training programs related to lifting operations, safety standards, and equipment management.
  • Experience:
    • 7 to 10 years of hands-on experience in lifting operations, with at least 3 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
    • Experience in overseeing lifting operations in industries such as Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or Power Generation.
    • Proven track record of managing lifting teams, ensuring safety, and optimizing operations.
    • Experience in training or mentoring staff and clients on lifting operations, safety protocols, and equipment use.
