Job Summary 

We are seeking a vastly experienced Senior UX Strategist to lead the redesign of a key government website. This is a high-impact role that requires an individual with deep expertise in user experience, branding, content strategy, design, and digital technology. The ideal candidate will have at least 15 years of professional experience and a proven track record of delivering exceptional digital experiences, particularly in complex projects such as public sector or large-scale, prominent websites within Pakistan.

 

The Senior UX/Content Strategist will collaborate with stakeholders to create a user-centered website that is intuitive, accessible, visually appealing, and aligned with government objectives and branding standards.

 

Key Responsibilities

Strategy & Leadership

  • Define the overall UX vision and strategy for the website redesign, ensuring alignment with government objectives, user needs, and modern best practices.
  • Act as the key advisor to stakeholders on UX best practices, trends, and technologies.
  • Lead workshops with stakeholders, users, and cross-functional teams to identify pain points, objectives, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop a holistic, user-centered approach that balances business goals with the needs of diverse user groups.

 

Research & Insights

  • Conduct and oversee qualitative and quantitative user research, including surveys, interviews, usability testing, and analytics review.
  • Use research insights to develop mental models, customer journeys, and information architecture.
  • Ensure the website redesign meets usability and accessibility standards, including WCAG compliance.

 

Content Strategy & Branding

  • Lead the creation of a cohesive content strategy, ensuring content is user-focused, accessible, and aligned with government communication standards.
  • Oversee the application of branding principles across the website, ensuring consistency in tone, visuals, and messaging.

 

Design Oversight

  • Collaborate with UI/UX designers to ensure that wireframes, prototypes, design systems, and final designs meet the established UX strategy.
  • Provide creative direction on the visual identity of the website, ensuring it reflects government values while being modern and engaging.

 

Digital Technology Integration

  • Work closely with development teams to ensure the website is technologically robust, scalable, and optimized for performance across devices and platforms.
  • Advocate for the use of cutting-edge tools and frameworks to deliver an innovative, future-proof solution.

 

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Act as a liaison between stakeholders, government departments, and the project team, ensuring alignment at every stage of the project.
  • Present strategies, findings, and recommendations to senior officials and project sponsors.

 

Project Management

  • Define project deliverables, timelines, and milestones, ensuring timely delivery within scope and budget.
  • Identify and mitigate risks during the project lifecycle.

 

Requirements

Experience

  • Minimum 15 years of experience in UX design, strategy, or a related role, with a focus on large-scale website projects.
  • Proven experience in public sector or government projects is highly desirable.
  • Extensive background in user research, content strategy, branding, information architecture, and interaction design.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing end-to-end UX strategy and execution.

 

Skills

  • Deep knowledge of UX design principles, accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG), and usability best practices.
  • Expertise in branding, visual design, and content strategy.
  • Strong understanding of digital technologies, platforms, and frameworks (e.g., CMS systems, responsive design, SEO).
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
  • Skilled at leading and managing cross-functional teams in high-pressure environments.
  • Work on a prestigious project aimed at improving citizen experience and accessibility for a government website.
  • Collaborate with a diverse team of professionals passionate about digital transformation.
  • Contribute to creating an impactful, user-friendly digital platform that serves millions of users.

 

Reporting

The Senior Content Strategist will report to REMIT Team Lead and REMT Tax Lead.
