Female Psychologist Counselor (Pashto-Speaking) – National Youth Helpline (NYHL)
Location: ACT International
Duration: Fixed-term contract (extension based on performance & funding)
Role Overview:
We are looking for a Pashto-speaking female counselor to provide confidential telephonic support on psychosocial, reproductive health, and academic issues, as well as family conflicts, substance abuse, GBV and other youth-related concerns.
Key Responsibilities:
- Offer non-judgmental counseling in Pashto, English & Urdu
- Assess mental health needs & provide psychological first aid
- Maintain confidential records & refer to high-risk cases
- Participate in training & awareness campaigns
Qualifications & Skills:
- Masters in Psychology or at least 16 years’ qualification in psychology , Clinical Psychology/M.Phil. and Clinical diploma.
- Proficiency in Pashto & Urdu (English is a plus)
- at least 3 years’ Experience in counseling (preferably telephonic/online)
- Strong communication, empathy & crisis management skills
