Action Against Hunger (ACF) seeks a qualified consulting firm to conduct a Rapid Need Analysis in Balochistan, focusing on Afghan refugees and host communities in Quetta, Pishin, Killa Saifullah, and Chaghi districts. The consultancy will assess the state of health, nutrition, climate-resilient WASH, food security, livelihoods, and protection services.

Key Objectives:

  • Assess acute malnutrition and stunting in children under five and pregnant/lactating women using SMART methodology.
  • Identify gaps in health, nutrition, and WASH services in healthcare facilities and communities.
  • Evaluate access to food and livelihoods and provide actionable recommendations.

Deliverables:

  • A survey protocol and data collection tools.
  • Training of data collectors and supervision during data collection.
  • A detailed report with findings and recommendations.

Consultant Qualifications:

  • Proven experience with SMART methodology and similar assessments.
  • Expertise in nutrition, health, WASH, and livelihood analysis.
  • Strong capacity for data analysis and reporting.
  • Proficiency in English (local language skills are an asset).
  • Availability of a multidisciplinary team including a nutritionist, public health expert, WASH specialist, and data analyst.

Timeline:

The consultancy will span four weeks from contract signing, with deliverables scheduled weekly.
