Background:

A project in Swat District, KP, aims to promote social cohesion by empowering youth and creating sustainable pathways for peace and stability in the region through social entrepreneurship 

Job Summary: 

Lead Business development cycle from ideation to implementation of Social Enterprises. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Collaborate with the project lead, project manager, and psychologist to select primary trainees based on set criteria and organize them into business groups following established guidelines. 

  • Conduct pre-training evaluations of trainees using various methods, contributing to ongoing research efforts. 

  • Design training materials such ascurricula, presentations, handouts, assessments, and manuals. 

  • Lead the overall business development cycle in the Social Lab. 

  • Conduct in-person business training sessions on social business canvas. 

  • Conduct workshops to finalize trainees' business plans and social enterprises. 

  • Mentor and facilitate the Pitch Fest and National Insight Tour. 

  • Guide and support trainees in implementing social action plans/social enterprises in pre-selected village/communities 

  • Assess training outcomes through post-training evaluations, feedback forms, and performance assessments. 

  • Work closely with project lead, project manager, and other stakeholders to align training initiatives with project deliverable 

  • Prepare regular reports on training activities, including attendance, performance assessments, and feedback. 

  • Facilitate engaging and interactive learning experiences, adapting methods to suit native audiences. 

  • Facilitate training sessions delivered by other trainers, focusing on future skills such as digital and social media engagement 

  • Any other task as per the project deliverables assigned by the supervisor. 

Skills: 

  1. Strong expertisewithin the startup ecosystem from ideation to startup stage, planning and implementation of business ideas. 

  1. Knowledge of social business modelling, business strategy, and financial sustainability for social enterprises. 

  1. Excellent facilitation and presentation skills, with the ability to adapt to different audiences and learning styles. 

  1. Strong mentoring skills with experience in guiding entrepreneurs through the business model development process. 

  1. Proficient in using tools for business modelling (e.g., MS Excel, MS Planner, online Project Management platforms). 

  1. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on delivering complex concepts in an accessible manner. 

  1. Strong coordination and relation with the startup ecosystem mentor, financial institutions and partners. 

Key Competencies: 

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and engage participants. 

  • Ability to think critically and adapt content to ensure relevance. 

  • Effective time management and ability to meet deadlines. 

  • Commitment to continuous improvement and professional development. 

Education:Bachelor's or master's degree in business administration or related fields. Certification in social business modeling or business coaching is a plus. 

Experience: 

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in training, facilitating, and mentoring in the areas of social entrepreneurship and business development. 

  • Proven experience with Social Business Canvas, Lean Business Canvas, or similar frameworks, with a focus on social enterprises. 

  • Experience in working with or leading social enterprises, nonprofits, or impact-driven businesses. 

Language Proficiency:  

Fluency in English, Urdu (both written and spoken) and Pushto is essential.
