Key Responsibilities:
- Research & Development:
- Conduct research and development activities to develop new chemical products and processes.
- Design and conduct laboratory experiments to test new materials and formulations.
- Analyze experimental data and draw conclusions.
- Prepare technical reports and presentations to document research findings.
- Develop and scale-up laboratory processes for pilot plant production.
- Production:
- Design, operate, and maintain chemical production plants.
- Optimize production processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Troubleshoot production problems and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure the safe and efficient operation of production equipment.
- Monitor and control process variables to maintain product quality.
- Quality Control:
- Develop and implement quality control procedures.
- Analyze product samples to ensure they meet specifications.
- Investigate and resolve quality control issues.
- Maintain accurate records of all quality control tests.
- Other Responsibilities:
- Stay abreast of the latest advancements in chemical engineering.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures.
- Prepare technical reports and presentations.
- Collaborate with other engineers, scientists, and technicians.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from an accredited university.
- Master's degree in Chemical Engineering (preferred).
- Strong understanding of chemical principles and engineering concepts.
- Proficiency in using chemical engineering software (e.g., Aspen Plus, HYSYS).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
