Job Summary

As Social Media Officer, you will be responsible for overseeing content creation, uploading photos and videos to our social media platforms, writing and posting blogs and case studies, and managing SEO.

Core Responsibilities

  • Design and implement effective social media strategies to enhance brand awareness.
  • Create and curate engaging content across various platforms (Facebook, X, Instagram, etc.)
  • Collaborate with the Program team to drive traffic and engagement.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging social media platforms.
  • Design posts and upload on social media platforms.

1. Social Media Content Creation & Management: Develop, create, and upload engaging content (photos, videos, blogs, case studies) to our social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, and the organization website. Collaborate with the communications team to produce high-quality project videos showcasing our work. Write, edit, and upload blogs and case studies on our website to highlight our projects and successes.

2. Social Media Platform Management: Manage and maintain the company’s social media presence across all platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X and others. Monitor and engage with the audience to maintain a positive online reputation. Develop and maintain a content calendar to ensure regular and relevant content posting. Implement strategies to grow followers, increase engagement, and enhance brand visibility.

3. SEO & Online Visibility: Conduct Search Engine Optimization (SEO) for social media platforms using specific keywords to drive traffic and improve search engine rankings. Implement SEO best practices across social media content to increase organic visibility. Monitor SEO performance using analytics tools and make data-driven adjustments to improve results.

4. Lead Generation & Reporting: Utilize social media lead generation tools to gather leads, photos, and other content for marketing efforts. Track and analyze social media metrics to evaluate campaign effectiveness and optimize strategies. Create monthly reports on performance and suggest improvements based on analytics.

5. Team Collaboration: Work closely with Program team members to understand content needs, project goals, and strategies for social media campaigns. Stay updated on trends in social media, SEO.

The role aims to boost brand awareness, grow social media engagement, and enhance online visibility through strategic content creation, SEO optimization, and audience interaction. By delivering consistent, high-quality posts and leveraging analytics for data-driven improvements, the position ensures a positive online presence, generates leads, and aligns social media efforts with organizational goals for impactful outreach and reputation building.

Educational & Experience Requirements

  • Proven experience in social media, content creation, and maintenance.
  • Proficiency in managing social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X).
  • Strong knowledge of SEO practices and experience using SEO tools.
  • Strong creativity and ability to produce engaging photo and video content.
  • Ability to write clear, engaging, and well-researched blogs and case studies.
  • Excellent communication, writing, and editing skills.
  • Problem-solving skills to troubleshoot social media issues.
  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Mass communication, journalism, communications, or any related field.
  • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in communication and media field, including experience planning and managing content.
  • Experience with USAID, UN agencies and other INGOs projects will be an added advantage.
  • Strong interpersonal communication and coordination skills, working collaboratively to achieve goals and need.
  • Multi-tasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Proactive and strategic thinking, problem-solving oriented, task prioritization
  • Ability to work effectively with little or no supervision.
  • Special attention to social media campaign design and implementation.
  • Demonstrated commitment to human rights and social values
  • A high level of oral and written communication skills in English language, and Urdu language. Excellent grammar, spelling, punctuation, and proofreading skills.
