Aga Khan Health Service, Pakistan is looking for competent Dental Assistant in Karachi Region.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist the dentist during dental procedures by providing necessary tools and materials.
  • Prepare patients for treatment, ensuring they are comfortable and informed about the procedures.
  • Take consent from the patients before any procedures.
  • Sterilize and organize dental instruments to ensure a clean and safe working environment.
  • Take and develop dental X-rays as needed.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including treatment plans and progress notes.
  • Schedule and confirm patient appointments, manage patient flow, and handle
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, postoperative care, and general dental health.
  • Mix dental materials, such as impression and restorative materials.
  • Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and health regulations.
  • Manage inventory and order dental supplies and materials.

Job Skills & Competency:

  • Certification from an accredited dental assistant program
  • Minimum 1 year of relevant experience
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining a high standard of patient care.
  • Proficiency in assisting with dental procedures, including fillings, crowns, extractions, and cleanings.
  • Ability to take and develop dental X-rays safely and accurately.
