Aga Khan Health Service, Pakistan is looking for a seasoned and dynamic Assistant Manager Community Health Professional for its Karachi Region.

The incumbent will be responsible for driving implementation of revised service delivery model in coordination with different stakeholders while maintaining strong relationships with all the concerned stakeholders i.e. Community, Councils, Health board etc. within the region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate/support the activities of the support systems of regions which are Finance, Human Resource, Facility & Support, Marketing/Resource Mobilization and IT;
  • Coordinate with the Head of Community Health & Government Relation in managing the regional program in order to achieve the program objectives;
  • Develop strong and constructive liaison with the Local, Regional Stake holder, community mobilizers, social mobilizers;
  • Ensure implementation of quality assurance protocols at facility level;
  • Liaise effectively with the Internal/External Audit and work with senior management team to resolve audit queries raised by internal and external auditors;
  • Ensure validity and consistency of data by verifying entries in data generating instrument and ensure timely submission of reports including client feedback and satisfaction reports;
  • Monitor and encourage field team and health center staff in developing and implementing a continuous quality improvement process;
  • Ensure that medicines and supplies placed in the health facility follow the safety standards;
  • Demonstrate integrity, sincerity and loyalty through strictly abiding by the rules, processes procedures, practices and code of conduct;
  • Define and delegate work responsibilities with clear expectations and outcomes;
  • Contribute towards the development of the new initiatives and innovations as advised by the technical support unit (TSU);
  • Ensure that no malpractice is taking place in any of the facilities and should report to concern authority immediately if found;
  • Contribute to financial control and cost reduction in the regional program;
  • Contribute in budget making process effectively based on data analysis;
  • Implement and monitor the infectious disease surveillance system and promptly adopting epidemic control measures;
  • Assist in strengthening linkages with AKDN network and other Government and NGOs functioning in the region.

Required Skills

Education, Experience & Competencies

  • Preferably MBBS; BDS or BScN or Master’s degree preferably in business / public health / allied fields / management
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience in the fields of Management or Health Planning in a reputable institution/organization preferably in an NGO
  • Demonstrated personal commitment to the mission, vision, values and ethics of the organization, accepts responsibility and be accountable for the work assigned
  • A leader with presence and stature, able to forge partnerships, build trust and command respect
  • Possess strong communication, interpersonal skills, leadership abilities to initiate the cost curtailing strategies and report writing with fluency in spoken and written English Language
  • Excellent command over Microsoft Applications
