Job Description: Program Coordinator
Organization Unit: Program
Reports To: Senior Program Advisor/Team Lead BUILD
Primary function/purpose
The Program Coordinator will play an important role in managing program activities and implementing partners, ensuring the effective execution of projects, and fostering collaboration with stakeholders, including Government counterparts. This position requires strong organizational, communication, and writing skills, with an emphasis on supporting the program team in achieving project goals.
Major duties and responsibilities
- Coordinate and oversee the collection and analysis of progress reports related to various program activities, including voter and civic education, to ensure alignment with project objectives.
- Manage the coordination functions with implementing partners, facilitating effective communication and collaboration for operational planning, field implementation, events management, progress reviews, training, and data collection efforts.
- Represent the organization in engagements with government counterparts, contributing to the development and implementation of different project initiatives and providing timely progress updates.
- Develop and maintain tracking systems to monitor progress against targets, ensuring transparency and accountability in program execution.
- Provide training and facilitation to local partners, enhancing their capacity to effectively participate in program activities.
- Contribute to the drafting of operational reports, including event reports, weekly, quarterly, and annual updates, ensuring comprehensive and accurate documentation of program activities and achievements.
- Manage Partners Information databases related to program planning and implementation, ensuring that all relevant information is up-to-date, and organized.
- Conduct monitoring visits to project sites as necessary, assessing implementation progress and identifying areas for improvement.
Position requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- At least 2 years of work experience in relevant areas.
- Experience working with international NGOs preferred.
- Wiling to travel as and when required.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Excel required.
