Purpose
Project officer is to act as a focal person for all Physical Rehabilitation Programme (PRP) related matters in KP and merged area, externally with multiple stakeholders and internally in Peshawar sub-Delegation. Moreover, s/he will support the management and administrative tasks of PRP activities in Peshawar area of responsibility within the framework of the ICRC’s and PRP’s goals and objectives. He/she will contributes to implement all physical rehabilitation activities in accordance with the defined strategy and objectives, particularly in relation to improved quality and capacity of prosthetics and orthotic and/or Physical Therapy services in Pakistan. S/He is a member of an interdisciplinary technical support team, which ensures a people centered approach in the ICRC supported centers and provides the necessary technical support so the partner can deliver good quality and sustainable services to People with disabilities (PwDs)
Main Responsibilities:
- Managing PRP activities at the sub-delegation level, ensuring timely implementation of approved projects, and representing PRP in internal and external meetings. It includes monitoring and planning field trips, building networks with stakeholders, coordinating activities with the PRP team, and ensuring accurate reporting and financial monitoring. The role also involves supervising social inclusion activities and maintaining partnerships to achieve program goals.
- Mentoring clinical team and partners to ensure the application of best practices and quality standards in physical rehabilitation services. It emphasizes a multidisciplinary approach, implementing quality assurance, and establishing a continuum of care from initial patient interaction through to post-rehabilitation vocational support. Additionally, organizing work plans, providing regular feedback, and promoting ongoing learning and health advocacy within the rehabilitation context.

Main Requirements:
- University degree in Ortho-prosthetics or Physiotherapy; Qualification in Public Health or Project Management a strong asset.
- Minimum 5 years working experience as an ortho-prosthetist or physiotherapist, with at least 2 years with a wide scope of practice.
- Experience with international NGOs, the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement and or multicultural or low-resource contexts are strong assets.
- Teaching experience and/or skills are an asset
- Good Knowledge of geographic area (KPK and newly merged Districts) is desirable.
- Good knowledge of local health authorities and groups of interest for the ICRC.
- Experience in working in a multi-disciplinary team an asset.
- Proven program management skills and team-building competencies.
- Excellent analytical and report-writing skills.
- Proficiency in computer skills (e.g., MS Office).
- Fluency in English and Urdu is required, and Knowledge of the local language i.e., Pashtu a plus.
