JOB SUMMARY
The identified staff will work under the supervision of a medical officer as part of the clinical services provision team. She will be focal point for provision of SRH services as outlined below.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function with or without reasonable accommodation:
MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provide outpatient consultation services at services delivery point under the direction & supervision of medical officer for sexual and reproductive health services.
• Take history, examine patients, identify risk factors, and conduct basic tests based on global standards for clinical care of pregnant and delivering women during ANC and PNC.
• Prescribe treatment or refer patients for gynecological conditions under the supervision of a medical officer.
• Carry out nutritional assessment of women and children and refer malnourished children and women to International Medical Corps (if available) or other partner organizations for further treatment/provision of food supplement and keep proper record.
• Handle/manage baby deliveries under supervision of lady doctor only when well-equipped facilities and services are available.
• Assist neonatal resuscitation activity in case BEmONC and CEmONC services are provided at the facility and only under the supervision of qualified medical doctor.
• Conduct sexual and reproductive health education and counselling of woman, either individually or in groups at clinic and at field level with focus to family planning, danger sign during pregnancy, ANC/PNC, exclusive breastfeeding, skilled deliveries, balance/weaning diet and vaccination.
• Ensure TT vaccination for women of CBA and children vaccination through appropriate referral to the relevant departments.
• Ensure proper record keeping of ANC/PNC registers and cards, FP register, OPD register and any MHNIS tools related to maternal and child health unit.
• Adhere to and practice universal precaution for IPC during clinical care and promote such practices.
• Ensure timely referral of any complicated cases encountered at the point of care without any delay based on international SRH clinical standards.
• Provide CMR/IPV services at the service delivery point under the supervision of the lady doctor and in case proper training is received and needed PEP kits and supplies are available.
• Provide and submit weekly reports of the activities/patients based on set processes and protocols.
• Participate in any review and planning meetings as part of the health team.
• Coordinate with other team members of the facility and IMC office related to provision of services.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• Qualified and registered Lady Health Visitor (LHV), community midwife from Government recognized Nursing Institute with a valid license to practice.
• Previous two years’ experience in the same capacity will be an edge.
• Previous NGO experience preferable.
• Great communication skills, on sensitive RH topics and generally in providing RH education.
• The ability to communicate in local language will be a preference.
