Relevant Experience: 

• MBBS from a PMDC-recognized medical college in Pakistan.
• Register with the Pakistan Medical & Dental Council (PMDC) with a valid license.
• House job done in Medicine and Pediatrics.
• Minimum four (4) years working experience in a similar position with N/INGO or a well-reputed organization.
• Additional qualifications/post-graduation in pediatrics or medicine will be an asset.

Job Description:

• Provide general OPD consultations for children and male patients on rotation basis two days in each BHU as per the duty roster.
• Prescribe medicines as per WHO treatment guidelines and available in BHU pharmacy.
• Screen high-risk cases and diseases not curable at respective health facility and insure an effective and timely referral to a higher-level healthcare facility as per standard referral protocol.
• Provide on-the-job mentoring to Dispensers/LHVs/PSCs/SMs for their capacity building.
• Ensure a good standard of cleanliness is maintained particularly in his respective OPD area.
• Ensure staff supervised by him is working efficiently & effectively as per his TORs.
• Check all recording and reporting tools related to his OPD are properly managed, updated and maintained on regular basis.
• Maintain good working relationship with DoH/CAR staff and the target communities.
• Assess/analyze situation in case of emergencies such as disease outbreaks and epidemics and immediately report it to BHU In-charge and the Area Coordinator for the timely action.
• Ensure all equipment in his use is in good working condition.
• Ensure all assets/inventory in his OPD is properly listed and physically present in health facility.
• Ensure the attendance sheet of his own and his assistant is regularly marked at all three (03) working locations.
• Share weekly/monthly OPD data with BHU In-charge for compilation and submission of health facility data to project office without any delay.
• Attending VHC meetings convened at BHU level to orient communities on health issues and preventive measures to avoid diseases.
• Attend staff meetings convened at health facility level/project office.
• In case of an emergency/incident, immediately report it to BHU In-charge or his supervisor.
• Guide social mobilization team in preparing their weekly work plans.
• Accomplish any other job-related task assigned by the supervisor (s).
