Purpose
Cashier is accountable for the physical processing of cash transactions and the integrity of physical cash balances in a sub delegation Peshawar, strictly respecting and applying the ICRC's rules on financial management.
The position also supports the Welcome unit at ensuring activities are organized smoothly, including coordination of pick-up/drop-off of ICRC and guests, travel arrangements, and accommodation.
Main Responsibilities:
- Handles complex cashier work independently for general cash disbursements of Peshawar sub-delegation in PKR & USD currencies.
- Explains cash procedures to the "clients"
- Preparation of cheques and bank transfer requests for all kind of vendors keeping in mind rules on financial management and approvals.
- A focal person for the supplier management portal.
- Follow up with departments/logistics on pre-registered invoices.
- Support the Finance team in the replacement/reporting/filing of accounting documents.
- Support Welcome activities and active replacement of administrative assistant (welcome/IM) in case of absence.
Main Requirements :
- University degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce or a related field
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience
- Experience in accounting software and working with ERP systems is an asset.
- High sense of confidentiality and accountability.
- Good computer skills (word, excel, and PowerPoint)
- Fluency in English and Urdu (written and oral); Knowledge of Pashtu a plus.
