Background  

Accelerate Prosperity is a global initiative of the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN) in Central and South Asia which offers creative technical and financial solutions as well as pre and post investment technical assistance to help grow early-stage businesses, startups, and innovative ideas. Since 2016, Accelerate Prosperity has supported promising entrepreneurs through business modeling, 1:1 coaching from staff, mentorship and networking with entrepreneurs, investment readiness, seed and growth financing, investors services and trade facilitation. 

  

Job Description: Responsible for designing and executing incubation and acceleration programs and providingtechnical assistance services to APbusinesses. Play a crucial role in the creation and design of knowledge products to enhance AP's credibility among key stakeholders and ecosystem players. Represent AP in startup ecosystem events, and investor forums, and network with industry leaders, venture capitalists, and other enablers to support the growth of AP's startups. 

  

Title: Innovation Lead 

  1. Develop and implement a strategic vision for incubation and acceleration programs. 

  1. Lead the design and on-ground execution of national-level incubation and acceleration programs. 

  1. Foster stakeholder relationships including incubators, accelerators, investors/VCs and other ecosystem players. Delivertechnical assistance services and help create knowledge products/content. 

  1. Evaluate and select businesses for program cycles. 

  1. Become well versed with APs Virtual Accelerate Platform and use it for end-to-end delivery of programs.  

  1. Maintain a pipeline of quality businesses for AP's program through various cycles and ensure data driven innovations,high-quality programmatic activities, including engagement with technical experts, industry mentors, investors, etc. 

  1. Support startups with their growth and business development need  

  1. Assist in program reporting on a quarterly, bi-annual, and annual basis.  

  1. Support businesses in developing and fine tuning their business models, marketing plans, financialmodel and pitch decks.  

  1. Assist in formulating business plan and strategies, market entry plans, and go-to-market strategies  

  1. Provide guidance on business model innovation, revenue streams, pricing strategies, and cost optimization. 

  1. Develop and curate suitable pipeline for AP’s investment function and external investors 

  

JOB SPECIFICATION  

  • Minimum 3-4 years of relevant work experience  

  • Bachelors/Master in a subject relevant to business administration, finance,entrepreneurship and innovation 

  • Experience inprogram/project management, finance and sound understanding of the entrepreneurship landscape in Pakistan 

  • Experience in stakeholder and partnership management, ideally an individual well networked in the business community.  

  • Sound understanding of business fundamentals and operations, as well as local and international fundraising landscapes 

  • Preference will begiven to an individual with prior professional experience in working with businesses, or other entrepreneurship support organizations
