Position Title: Production Manager

Department: Production

Reports To: Head of Production/Managing Director

Job Summary: The Production Manager oversees and manages all aspects of TV and digital media production. This includes coordinating schedules, budgets, resources, and teams to ensure timely, high-quality production within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Project Planning and Management:
    • Develop and manage production schedules and budgets.
    • Coordinate pre-production activities and resource allocation.
    • Ensure adherence to schedules and budgets.
  2. Team Coordination:
    • Supervise production teams and facilitate communication.
    • Recruit and manage freelance and contract personnel.
  3. Logistics and Resource Management:
    • Oversee production logistics, including locations, equipment, and talent.
    • Ensure all permits, contracts, and insurance are in place.
    • Manage acquisition of props, costumes, and materials.
  4. Quality Control:
    • Ensure content meets quality standards and creative vision.
    • Provide feedback to maintain high production values.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues.
  5. Post-Production Coordination:
    • Oversee editing, sound design, visual effects, and delivery.
    • Ensure timely completion of post-production tasks.
    • Coordinate with distribution and marketing for content release.
  6. Compliance and Safety:
    • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, legal requirements, and safety standards.
    • Implement and enforce health and safety protocols.
  7. Reporting and Documentation:
    • Maintain accurate records of production activities and expenses.
    • Prepare progress reports for management and stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or certificate in Film Production, Media, Communications, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in TV and digital content production management.
  • Strong organizational, multitasking, and financial management skills.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency with production management software and tools.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and regulations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Familiarity with latest trends and technologies in TV and digital media.
  • Experience with both studio and on-location productions.
  • Ability to adapt to changing production needs.

Working Conditions:

  • May require long hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Involves travel to various production locations.
