Dopasi Foundation is seeking an experienced and dynamic Manager Special Initiatives and Partnership Development to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to mobilize resources and enhance the public image of our organization. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent communication skills and a proven track record in fundraising, partnership development, and public relations.

The manager Special Initiatives and Partnership Development will be responsible for liaising with embassies, strategic donors, and international organizations to identify and secure funding opportunities. The role will also involve managing special initiatives and projects, particularly in the areas of health, social determinants, infectious diseases (especially Tuberculosis), and climate change.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain relationships with embassies, international donors, and strategic partners.
  • Identify potential funding opportunities and collaboration avenues with these entities.
  • Develop and write proposals and grant applications to secure funding for the organization’s initiatives.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to gather necessary information and data for proposal development.
  • Represent the organization at meetings, events, and conferences with embassies, donors, and other stakeholders.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for embassies and strategic donors.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive resource mobilization strategy to support the organization’s programs and projects.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the resource mobilization efforts and adjust strategies as needed.
  • Manage special initiatives and projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful project implementation.
  • Assist in the development of new programs and initiatives, particularly in the areas of infectious diseases (especially Tuberculosis) and climate change.
  • Ensure alignment of new programs with the organization’s mission and strategic objectives.
  • Establish monitoring and evaluation frameworks for special initiatives and projects.
  • Prepare regular progress reports and impact assessments for stakeholders.
  • Support the CEO in networking with strategic donors and partners.
  • Prepare briefing materials and talking points for the CEO’s meetings with key stakeholders.
  • Provide strategic advice to the CEO on potential funding opportunities and partnership development.
  • Assist in the development and execution of the organization’s strategic plan.

 

Qualifications and Experience:

 

  • A Master’s degree in Public Health, International Development, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • At least 5-7 years of experience in resource mobilization, partnership development, and project management within the non-profit sector.
  • Proven track record of securing funding from embassies, international donors, and strategic partners.
  • Experience in managing health-related projects, with a focus on infectious diseases, especially Tuberculosis, and climate change.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong proposal writing and grant application skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and techniques.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
