Pakistan Climate Smart Energy Activity (CSEA):

USAID anticipates releasing an activity to support the Government of Pakistan (GoP) in implementing its Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs). The CSEA Activity is expected to assist in one of two ways: 1) by reducing (GHG) greenhouse gas emissions from the energy sector; and/or 2) decreasing the energy sector’s vulnerability to the effects of climate change.

DAI seeks qualified candidates specialized in the following technical fields/areas:

  • Climate Adaptation/Mitigation
  • Clean Energy Investment Mobilization
  • Renewable/Alternative Energy Systems
  • Distributed Energy Resources and Electric Mobility
  • GHG Emissions Management, Including Methane Emissions from Waste and Livestock
  • Carbon Markets/Carbon Credits
  • Energy Efficiency Standards
  • Energy Efficiency Investment
  • Power Sector Improvement
  • Digital/Smart Technology Solutions
  • International Climate Finance Mechanisms
  • Waste to Energy Practices/Methods
  • Improved Environmental Controls
  • Clean Energy Workforce Development
  • Policy/Regulatory Enhancements
  • Private Sector Engagement
  • Gender and Social Inclusion

Additional skills in the areas of Project Management, Finance and Operations, and Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning are also sought.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in a relevant field
  • 10 years of progressive experience in one or more relevant technical areas applicable to CSEA
  • Prior work experience in Pakistan or the Region
  • Experience leading or managing teams on donor-funded programs; USAID experience preferred
  • Fluent English language skills (oral and written)
