Position Objectives:

Protection, Gender and Inclusion:

Under the direct supervision of the Deputy Director PGI, the position provides technical support to strengthen and institutionalize Protection, Gender and Inclusion (PGI) across PRCS programs and operations by building staff and volunteer capacity, integrating PGI policies, tools and analysis, and promoting inclusive programming that addresses protection risks, gender inequality, discrimination and gender-based violence.

Community Engagement and Accountability:

The position supports the institutionalization of Community Engagement and Accountability (CEA) across PRCS strategies, programs and operations by strengthening organizational capacity, integrating community participation and feedback mechanisms, and fostering collaboration with Movement partners, authorities and communities to ensure meaningful engagement, accountability and people-centered responses.

Sr.No

Specific Duties, Responsibilities, and Accountabilities:

1.

Support the development and implementation of Protection, Gender and Inclusion (PGI), including PSEA and Child Protection-sensitive policies, guidelines and programs across PRCS.

2.

Provide technical support to assessments, emergency operations and recovery programs to identify protection risks and ensure the integration of PGI and CEA across sectors.

3.

Strengthen prevention, mitigation and response measures related to sexual exploitation, abuse, gender-based violence and other protection concerns.

4.

Maintain strong coordination with sector leads  (DRR, Health, WASH, CVA, Shelter, Migration) and other departments on integration of PGI Minimum Standards in the emergency response, projects and long term programs.

5.

  • Promote the application of PGI Minimum Standards, gender and diversity analysis, conflict sensitivity and the “Do No Harm” approach across programs and operations.

6.

Develop and maintain PGI tools, guidance and data systems, ensuring the collection and analysis of sex, age and disability-disaggregated data.

7.

Build the capacity of staff, volunteers and focal persons through training, coaching and technical support on PGI, CEA and PSEA.

8.

Contribute to program monitoring, reporting, learning and documentation of best practices, lessons learned and success stories on PGI and CEA integration.

9.

Regular field visits and support planning, implementation and monitoring of PGI and CEA activities, ensuring timely communication of key achievements and challenges.

10.

Coordinate and represent PRCS with Movement partners, government institutions, national coordination forums and external stakeholders on PGI, CEA and PSEA-related initiatives and partnerships.

11.

Integrate Community Engagement and Accountability (CEA) into PRCS strategies, policies, frameworks, program plans and operations, ensuring clear roles, resources and implementation timelines.

12.

Strengthen organizational capacity on CEA by raising awareness and delivering training, coaching and guidance to staff and volunteers on CEA principles, minimum actions, code of conduct and community engagement approaches.

13.

Ensure meaningful participation of affected populations and host communities throughout the program cycle, from assessment and design to implementation, monitoring and evaluation.

14.

Promote transparent, timely and accessible communication with communities by sharing relevant program information and ensuring selection criteria, activities and progress are clearly understood.

15.

Establish and maintain inclusive community engagement structures and partnerships that represent diverse groups, including women, men, children, youth, older persons, persons with disabilities and other vulnerable populations.

16.

Develop, manage and strengthen safe, accessible and responsive feedback and complaints mechanisms, ensuring community feedback is systematically collected, analyzed and used to improve program quality and accountability.

 

Education

 

Masters/16 years of education in social sciences preferably Psychology, Sociology, Social Work, Anthropology and Law.  

 

Experience.

 
  • Minimum 5-7 years’ working experience in planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation. Preference will be given to a person with experience of protection program planning

  • Ability to work in complex situations and capable of managing team work during emergencies

  • Good command of written and spoken English and Urdu

 

Skills/ Knowledge 

 
  • Good computer skills, inclusive of Office Suite tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

  • Good communication skills

Traveling.

 

Flexibility to travel into the fields for conduct of monitoring & other related tasks.
