Aga Khan Health Service, Pakistan, is looking for a competent Data Officer based at Project Offices in Gilgit.

Key Responsibilities:

 Data Collection and Entry

  • Collect- and compile routine health service data (FP, MNCH, GBV, referrals) from health facilities, mobile outreach clinics, and community sessions.
  • Ensure timely data entry into the project’s Health Information System (HIS), MIS, or digital platforms (DHIS2, Kobo, or Excel-based tools).

 Data Validation and Quality Control

  • Cross-check data for accuracy, consistency, and completeness before submission to the MERL Manager.
  • Conduct routine field visits to verify data sources and perform data quality audits (DQAs).
  • Flag any data discrepancies and support supervisors in resolving reporting gaps.

 Reporting and Dashboarding

  • Generate weekly, monthly, and quarterly summaries and reports as per prescribed formats.
  • Develop visual dashboards, charts, and presentations for district-level review meetings.
  • Share timely updates on indicators related to access, coverage, and community engagement.

 Coordination and Support

  • Support field teams, service providers, and community mobilizers in using standardized tools and forms.
  • Coordinate with District Health Offices to align data with government systems (e.g., DHIS).
  • Assist in compiling data for donor reporting, success stories, and documentation efforts.

 Data Confidentiality and Ethics

  • Ensure data protection and confidentiality protocols are followed for sensitive SRHR, FP, and GBV-related information.
  • Maintain secure backups and ensure compliance with ethical standards of data management.

 Expected Deliverables

  • Monthly data reports and dashboards
  • Data quality audit checklists and validation logs
  • Updated service utilization records and community session summaries
  • Input into donor reports and learning briefs
  • Data visuals for meetings and field visits

 Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Biostatistics, Epidemiology, Computer Science, Health Informatics, or a related field, Diploma in Health Information Systems or Monitoring & Evaluation is a plus.
  • 2–3 years of relevant experience in data management, preferably in health or development projects.
  •  Experience working with mobile data collection platforms (Kobo Toolbox, ODK), DHIS2, or Power BI is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with SRHR, FP, MNCH, or gender-related data indicators is a strong advantage.
  • Excellent command of Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools
  • Attention to detail, data accuracy, and problem-solving mindset
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Strong communication skills and ability to train others in data collection procedures
  • Local language proficiency is an asset; basic report writing in English and Urdu required
  • Results-driven, ethical and adaptable professional with a strong service and stakeholder focus.
