Job Description:
Consistent with the CIP’s culture of promoting a learning environment, this internship is designed to provide individuals with opportunities to gain practical work experience. The intern will be working closely with the relevant CIP department on a full-time basis at the Islamabad Office.
The Finance Intern will support the Finance Department in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with organizational and donor requirements, and assisting in daily financial operations. The role involves supporting audit processes, managing grant and contract documentation, performing data entry in financial systems, and assisting with reconciliations. The intern will also contribute to documentation digitization and recordkeeping processes, ensuring efficient and organized data management.
1-Audit Support & Recordkeeping and Procedure Compliance (40% of Time)

- Assist the Finance Department during internal and external audit processes.
- Organize, compile, and provide relevant financial and supporting documents to auditors.
- Ensure all required records are complete, accurate, and readily accessible
- Ensure proper recordkeeping as per requirements.
- Follow standard operating procedures for document management.
- Support continuous improvement of record management Practices
2- Grant and Contract File Management (30% of Time)

- Maintain and update grant and contract files on a regular basis.
- Ensure availability of essential documentation, including:
- Pre-approvals
- Agreements and sub-agreements
- Contract modifications
- Correspondence with donors
- Support proper filing and documentation in compliance with policies and procedures.
3- Accounts Payable & PeopleSoft Documentation Digitization (25% of Time)

- Manage and support the digitization of PeopleSoft documentation.
- Ensure proper electronic recordkeeping for business-as-usual operations.
- Maintain organized and accessible digital records.
- Assist in processing payments as per established procedures
4- Other responsibilities as assigned: (05% of time)
Any other tasks or responsibilities based on organizational and programming needs, as assigned by the Line Manager.
A) Qualifications (Know How)
Education/Training
ACCA and/or a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university is required
B) Experience/Technical Skills
Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Good research, writing and presentation skills.
Excellent writing and analytical skills, with fluency in English and
