The Position:

District Supervisor (DS) position is the lead role in implementation of the project activities at the district level. DS will manage day to day activities of the project and will assist District Program Manager (district level) and District Supervisor (at Provincial level). The DS will be responsible for managing project activities, project budget and coordinate with all relevant stakeholders at district level for smooth implementation of the project. District Supervisor will represent Organisation in meetings with donor, government officials and other line agencies.

Duties and responsibilities:

Specific Responsibilities:

Under Supervision of District Program Manager;;

  • District Supervisor (DS) is responsible to implement the project activities in close coordination with project Officer
  • Prepare monthly and weekly work plan of healthcare providers
  • To ensure update MIS of Health care providers on monthly and quarterly basis
  • To review and rectify HCPs monthly reports and records
  • To monitor and supervise HCPs performance at the field level
  • Prepare activity wise budget under the guidance of project officer.
  • Manage and supervise project activities through project life cycle
  • Regularly interact with line manager to develop understanding of key deliverables of projects
  • Represent Organisation in monthly progress review meeting with stakeholders
  • Provide phasing and scheduling of project activities as per project work plan
  • Participate in review progress review meetings (monthly/quarterly)
  • Supervise issuance and receiving of project supplies by the assigned staff.
  • To coordinate and ensure timely completion and submission of all due repots
  • To help facilitate project-related meetings, including devising of agendas.
  • To actively manage project supplies to ensure timely delivery within time.
  • To document each activity as per prescribed formats and to communicate with line manager/supervisor.
  • To operate within organizational policies and practices.
  • To provide technical and management support to project team

Knowledge & Skills:

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Graduate in social sciences or any relevant field
  • Working knowledge of computers and software’s (MS Word, MS Excel) is must
  • Experience:

  • Good writing and verbal communication skills in English and Urdu knowledge of Pashto is an asset.
  • 2-3 years’ experience in the similar position in national or International Organizations.
  • Should know all the basics of community mobilization
  • Knowledge of and working with Health service provider and children/persons disabilities will be an added advantage.
