We are hiring three (03) Junior Marketing Associates, each assigned to a specific district and value chain:
• Multan – Mango Value Chain
• Chakwal – Olive & Groundnut Value Chains
• Sargodha – Citrus Value Chain
Role Overview
Each Junior Marketing Associate will be responsible for supporting market-driven interventions within their assigned district and commodity focus. The role involves working closely with farmers, aggregators, processors, and buyersto strengthen market linkages, improve product positioning, and enhance commercialization outcomes.
This is a field-intensive role requiring deep engagement with local value chain actors and regular coordination with project teams under the guidance of the Marketing Specialist.
Key Responsibilities
1. Market & Value Chain Assessment (District-Specific)
• Conduct localized market assessments for assigned commodities (mango, olive/groundnut, citrus).
• Map key actors including farmers, traders, processors, exporters, and input suppliers.
• Collect and analyze data on:
o Pricing trends and seasonality
o Demand patterns and buyer preferences
o Quality, grading, and compliance requirements
o Volumes, aggregation practices, and logistics gaps
• Generate district-level insights to inform targeted interventions.
2. Market Linkages & Buyer Engagement
• Identify and profile relevant buyers and off-takers for assigned commodities.
• Facilitate buyer–seller interactions, including meetings, exposure visits, and trade linkages.
• Support aggregation and trial sales to test market opportunities.
• Maintain and regularly update a district-specific buyer and stakeholder database.
3. Field Implementation & Farmer Support
• Work closely with field teams, mobilizers, and farmer groups in the assigned district.
• Support farmers in understanding market requirements specific to their commodity:
• Assist in implementing pilot interventions, aggregation models, and market readiness activities.
4. Promotion & Commodity-Specific Marketing
• Support commodity-focused promotional campaigns, exhibitions, and trade events.
• Assist in developing basic marketing materials tailored to the value chain (e.g., product profiles, buyer briefs).
• Document success stories, case studies, and field visuals highlighting impact.
5. Reporting & Documentation
• Prepare district-wise field reports, activity updates, and market intelligence briefs.
• Document commodity-specific challenges, opportunities, and lessons learned.
• Ensure timely submission of reports aligned with project requirements.
Field Travel Requirement
• Candidates must be based in or willing to relocate to their assigned district (Multan, Chakwal, or Sargodha).
• Role requires frequent travel within the district and nearby market hubs.
Education & Experience Requirements
Education
• Bachelor’s degree in:
o Agriculture / Agri-Business
o Agricultural Economics
o Business Administration / Marketing
o Rural Development or related fields
• Master’s degree is a plus but not required
Experience
• 2-3 years of relevant experience in agriculture, agribusiness, or development sector
District/Commodity Preference (Strong Advantage)
• Prior exposure to or familiarity with the assigned district and value chain:
o Multan: Mango production, supply chains, or export markets
o Chakwal: Olive cultivation initiatives, groundnut markets, or processing
o Sargodha: Citrus production, kinnow export systems, or mandi operations
Technical Skills
• Basic proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Experience with data collection tools (Google Forms) is an advantage
Language Requirements
• Fluency in Urdu (required)
• Working proficiency in English
• Knowledge of local languages/dialects in the assigned district is highly desirable
