It focuses on empowering marginalized communities—especially women, youth, and minorities—through initiatives in education, health, climate change, youth development, and social justice. SCF holds special consultative status with the UN ECOSOC and is PCP certified. With regional offices across Sindh, SCF has earned national and international recognition for advancing community resilience and rights-based development.


Job Description:

 

Job Purpose

The Women Economic Empowerment (WEE) Coordinator will be responsible for planning, implementing, and monitoring activities aimed at improving women’s economic participation, livelihoods, entrepreneurship, and access to financial resources. The position ensures quality delivery of project interventions, achievement of targets, and compliance with donor and organizational policies.

Key Responsibilities

1. Program Planning & Implementation

  • Develop detailed work plans and activity schedules.
  • Implement livelihood, vocational training, and entrepreneurship initiatives.
  • Coordinate business development support and income-generating activities.
  • Facilitate market linkages for women entrepreneurs.
  • Ensure inclusion of marginalized and vulnerable women.

2. Capacity Building & Training

  • Organize vocational skills training and financial literacy sessions.
  • Conduct entrepreneurship development workshops.
  • Coordinate with technical trainers and consultants.
  • Provide mentoring and follow-up support to beneficiaries.

3. Community Engagement & Mobilization

  • Conduct community awareness sessions on women’s economic rights and opportunities.
  • Engage community leaders and stakeholders to support women participation.
  • Address socio-cultural barriers affecting women’s economic inclusion.

4. Monitoring, Evaluation & Reporting

  • Track progress against project indicators and targets.
  • Maintain beneficiary database and documentation.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and donor reports.
  • Collect success stories and case studies.
  • Support internal and external evaluations.

5. Coordination & Partnership

  • Build partnerships with microfinance institutions, banks, and private sector.
  • Coordinate with government departments (e.g., Social Welfare, Women Development).
  • Liaise with NGOs and other stakeholders for collaboration.
  • Ensure compliance with donor guidelines and safeguarding policies.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Social Sciences, Gender Studies, Economics,  or related field.
  • Minimum 3–4 years of experience in women empowerment, livelihoods, or economic development projects.
  • Experience working with NGOs or development sector preferred.
  • Knowledge of value chain development, and entrepreneurship.
  • Strong reporting and documentation skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to travel within project areas.
